The Doctors and Nurses can be seen by appointment. If you require anything other than a normal consultation, e.g. cervical smear, medical examination or information, please inform the Receptionist at the time of booking.

We aim to deliver the most appropriate form of advice and consultation and to use our resources to their maximum efficiency. This means that when you call, the reception staff will need to ask you some questions in order to discover which of our available services will best suit your needs. They are not clinically trained but are acting on behalf of the clinical staff – if you do not wish to disclose the issue to them that is your right, but may delay an appropriate pathway for you. We aim for this to cause as little disruption to your treatment as possible.

You can make an appointment by:

  • Calling in to the Surgery
  • Telephone the Surgery
  • Online booking – To register for this service place bring a recognised form of identification to the surgery where a member of the Reception Staff will generate a password for you. Once you have registered you will be able to click on the link below to start booking your appointments online. SystmOnline

You can book appointments up to 4 weeks in advance. Each GP appointment is for 10 minutes duration and by appointment only. Please note that face to face consultation times will vary for each clinician during these hours.

We have a limited number of early morning and evening appointments for those who are unable to attend the surgery during the day.

On arrival in surgery, please inform the Receptionist. If you are late, the Doctor may be unable to see you and you may be asked to re-book.

Please note that one appointment is for one person only. 

Urgent Appointments

If you need to see a Doctor urgently you will be offered an appointment with the next available Doctor, this may not be the Doctor of your choice. Please try to attend the surgery if at all possible. Do not be offended by questions the Reception Staff ask; they are asked to ascertain the urgency of each case.

Cancellations

If you cannot keep an appointment we would be grateful if you could inform us as soon as possible as this appointment could be offered to someone else.

Telephone Advice

The Doctors are able to, in certain cases, offer advice on minor ailments without the need for you to attend surgery. If you would like to speak to a Doctor, please telephone 455440 before 11:00 am (in case the GP feels you do actually require a same day appointment). A Receptionist will need to take full details in order to accurately relay the information to the clinician.

Home Visits

If you are housebound or too ill to attend surgery, please telephone us before 11:00am to arrange for a home visit. If you call later than this, the Doctor may already be out on visits. When you call, the Receptionist will need to take details of your problem.

Appointments for the Nurse

Generally the Nurse is available, by appointment between 9:00am – 12noon and between 3:15pm – 5:30pm. You will need to tell the Receptionist what type of appointment you require so that the correct amount of time can be allocated.
